They’ll both be bringing their individual specialist treatments to the centre, of course - Balquees is an acupuncturist and Phil is Thai massage therapist. We’re also happy to announce that they will both be offering FREE taster sessions!
What is Cystitis?
According to Netdoctor, the term ‘cystitis’ actually means an inflammation of the bladder, although it's usually understood to mean ‘an infection of the urine affecting the bladder’. Cystitis is a common and painful illness that will affect 1 in 5 women at some point during their lives. Furthermore, 1 in 5 women who have had cystitis will get it again. Cystitis does occur in children and men, but at a much smaller rate than women.
What is Energy?
Whatever we do, our body needs energy; energy is the fuel of life. The more fuel we have, the more that we can accomplish. Children have a nearly endless supply of energy. However, as we grow older, we lose a lot of the enthusiasm of our youth and the energy that came with it.
We generate energy at all levels of our being. Not only does our physical body produce energy, but so do our emotions and our minds. For example, taking care of yourself and living a healthy lifestyle will generate physical energy. Something that deeply inspires us will generate emotional energy and learning something new or challenging, or embracing a new belief or personal value will produce mental energy.
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a non-intrusive, complementary health therapy, working the reflex points situated on the feet. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better health for their clients.
Reflexology has been used for the last 5000 years by the Chinese, and 2000 years ago the Egyptians were also working on the feet to encourage good health.
