Deepak Chopra said that “Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet, it is a way of entering into the quiet that is already there, buried under the 50,000 thoughts the average person thinks every day.”
It is very hard to ignore the sheer amount of research out there that suggests the positive impact that meditation can have on us.
At Mind & Body we aim to provide a sanctuary where you can access some quiet time, some time to put your needs first, which as busy human beings, we very rarely do.
One of our Therapists Becky is a qualified Meditation Teacher and has put together a Meditation Group. Meditating in a group has so many added bonuses to meditating alone, you can meet people on your wavelength, there is an opportunity for feedback and discussion, it helps develop a healthy habit and, believe it or not, there are studies that prove the existence of a ripple effect of peace in the surrounding environment when a group meditates together.
Becky's group Meditation sessions are small and intimate with no more than eight people in each session which means that the group feels personal and very supportive. It also means that Becky can tailor the sessions to the individuals within the group.
The sessions are for anyone who would like to find that inner quietness, no previous experience of meditation is necessary.
