What is EFT? Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT or Tapping, as it’s sometimes known, is based on the discovery that imbalances in the body's energy system have a profound effect on our personal psychology. EFT is a psychological acupressure technique that aims to optimise your emotional health. Emotional health is absolutely essential to your physical health and healing. The quality of a person’s life is directly related to their emotional wellbeing. EFT is scientifically proven and drug free. What can EFT help with? EFT works really well alongside Meta-Health and can be used to address a number of issues, including traumatic memories, stress release, anger management, phobias, addictions, negative thoughts and feelings, weight issues and cravings. As well as relieving negative emotions, EFT can help to create balance, which will have a profound positive effect on you and will help you to overcome barriers, achieve success, accelerate personal development and create relaxation. What does an EFT session involve? During a treatment, the client remains fully clothed, sometimes seated, or laid on a treatment couch. A particular issue is explored whilst a sequence of points on the head, face and collarbone area are tapped on by the client and/or therapist. The points used are specific and help release energy that is trapped in the system. It’s often said that EFT is like acupuncture without needles. EFT is an incredible healing tool, which if used on a regular basis, will have a profound effect, but it is not a one hit wonder. One session of EFT alone will not work miracles. A client would need to be committed to the process and partake in regular sessions to see real positive change What’s next?
