A particular issue is explored whilst a sequence of points on the head, face and collarbone area are tapped on by the client and/or therapist. The points used are specific and help release energy that is trapped in the system. It has been scientifically proven that a positive thought allows our energy to flow freely and unrestricted, whereas, negative thoughts decrease energy within our body. Every thought you have is connected to a chakra. For example, a passionate thought is a red energy stimulant, but an angry thought decreases your positive red energy flow.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">The Sun

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">The sun is our most important energy source. All the seven colour energies flow from the sun’s rays to the earth. People, animals, plants, minerals, water and our chakras receive energy from the sun’s light. If you are not able to enjoy the sun for a few hours daily, trying adding a good quality full spectrum light bulb to a light source in your work area or in a lamp at home.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Food

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">The sun’s rays give plants life/energy. Once the plant absorbs energy, the colour energy that remains is the energy of that fruit, vegetable or flower. Without this energy, our body could not assimilate the nutritional value of the food. Balance your chakras daily by eating foods that contain each of the seven colour energies.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Visualisation

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Since thought is an energy form, you can stimulate your chakras through techniques such as meditation, yoga, visualisation or breathing energy into your various chakra centres. Try adding the colour intention as you do these things to get additional power from a chakra’s vibration.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Gems/Minerals

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Gemstones and minerals are also energy forms. For example, crystals contain a similar crystalline structure to the human body. Crystals amplify energy and can be programmed (e.g. like computer chips and watches). Wearing gemstone jewellery or placing gemstones and minerals in your environment is a simple way to absorb the stone or mineral’s healing vibrations.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Colour Bathing

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Water is a conductor of energy and colour is an energy. While lying in coloured water your body absorbs the vibrational frequency from the colour. Take the time to give back to your body and soul! While bathing, balance that chakra by thinking about what you would like to achieve from that specific energy and maybe add the correlating aromatherapy oil. Do not use chemical food colouring to dye your water. We recommend Colour Bath™ by Colour Energy Corporation, as it is organic and completely safe to use.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Aromatherapy<span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:="" "arial",sans-serif"="" style="">

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Essential oils are the pure essence of the plant or flower. Every oil has a vibration that correlates to a colour. Oils contain the healing properties of herbs, flowers or plants. Use only therapeutic quality oils (poor quality oils may contain toxins). Also never apply oils directly on your skin (dilute with a carrier oil or in a bath).

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Music & Dance

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Music can affect us in a positive or negative way. Every musical note corresponds to a colour and a chakra centre. Certain sounds can stimulate an emotional, mental, physical or spiritual response. For example listening or dancing to primal music, such as the beating of drums, can energise your physical body and stimulate your root chakra.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Toning & Sounds

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">We can vocally make sounds to vibrate at the same frequency as various organs in our body. Regular toning can help keep our body’s organs functioning properly. Noise pollution can be very disturbing to our environment. Surround yourself with sounds, which make you happy and productive!

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Colour Tonations

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">By shining a light through various colour filters directly onto the body, the vibration of the colour will be absorbed through your skin affecting the designated chakra.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Solarised Water

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Charge water by filling a coloured glass with water or by placing a coloured filter in front of a glass of water and let the sun’s rays kiss the water with colour energy. Make sure the glass is not leaded and of a clean colour hue.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Syntonics

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Syntonics is the use of colour through the eyes. Via our eyes, colour stimulates our pituitary gland, which in turn releases hormones connected to the correlating organ of the same frequency. Therapeutic eye glasses that are manufactured with various coloured filters can be worn whenever you need a boost of a certain colour or chakra energy. If you’re wearing them outdoors make sure the colour eyeglasses are 100% UVA & UVB coated and again the exact colour tint of the lens is very, very important. Note: Unless the colour glass manufacturer or distributor is aware of colour therapy, chances are their coloured lenses are not made for healing purposes.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Decor

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Consciously use colours in your home or work environment to give you more positive and productive energy. Paint a room or add different coloured pillows, artwork, carpets, etc.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Clothing

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">What we wear will influence our mood, mind and energy level. Light penetrates through our clothing amplifying the colour energy we are wearing. The more vibrant the clothing, the better the energy transfer.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Art & Colour

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Art and colour can be used as an outlet to either express or stimulate the chakras. Acne has also been seen to run in families, but no genetic link has been established.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:="" "arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">A Meta-Health overview

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Meta-Health explains exactly how and why an illness starts. With the exception of poisoning and accidents, all dis-eases begin with a traumatic life event: a dramatic, emotional shock that is unexpected and leaves us temporarily stunned. Whether the shock is a major trauma, hearing bad news or simply seeing something unpleasant, the body-mind takes over, switching into fight-flight-freeze. At the same time, we experience a reaction in a specific organ. Which organ responds depends on the emotion we experience. Meta Medicine maps emotions to organs, via the brain, based on an understanding of the organ’s function, the body’s reaction is always meaningful.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:="" "arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Acne from a Meta-Health point of view<span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">The biological and emotional causes of acne originate in the sebaceous glands of the dermis layer of the skin. The epi-dermis (outer-skin) is a semi-permeable membrane which offers little protection, its function is to sense and respond to the outer environment. Protection comes from the deeper, thicker layer of skin, the dermis. Therefore, when we get a change in the dermis, such as a blockage in the sebaceous gland, we know that this reaction is connected with the theme of self-protection. A cell increase as in the case of overproduction of sebum indicates the need for more protection.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">The cause of acne in Meta-Health is defined as a defilement-deformed-integrity-trauma conflict. This could have been caused by a dramatic emotional shock where we felt defiled, deformed, dirtied or ugly or by a situation in which our integrity was attacked or breached in some way. Because the function of the dermis is protective, it reacts to the feeling that we need to protect ourselves from this attack on our identity or integrity.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">The initial trauma or shock that starts this reaction is often (but not always) associated with bullying or criticism of one’s appearance. Acne in most cases starts during puberty and is possibly linked to more than just an increase in hormones. It is during this time between around 13-17 that young people start to assert their identities and the peer group becomes really important, it is a very self-conscious time. Even a passing comment about our appearance, sexuality or attractiveness can have a significant, negative impact.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:="" "arial",sans-serif;color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Acne as a two phase process

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">The symptoms of acne are part of a natural and meaningful healing cycle. The process begins with a dramatic incident such as being bullied or a trigger such as feeling ugly which puts us into phase 1.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:="" "arial",sans-serif"="" style="">Sympathetic Stress (Phase 1):

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif"="" style="">During this phase we are worrying about being unattractive or criticised inb some way and feel the need to protect ourselves. Bacteria is then able to begin degrading the excess sebum and producing the waste products and fatty acids that appear as spots. In order for a shock to begin a disease programme, it must be unexpected, dramatic, highly emotional and isolative. In the moment, the individual has no way of mentally dealing with the unexpected event, so the body takes over.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:arial"="" style="">In order to identify the specific shock that causes IBS, it is important to look at the biological function of the colon. The digestive tract’s primary task is to process food, however, it is not just food we’re taking in, we are also taking in information all of the time. As with food, this information needs to be processed, assimilated and utilised or rejected.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:arial"="" style="">If something is totally indigestible, how you eliminate it will depend how far through the digestive tract it has travelled. If you refuse to accept something you may get gastric reflux. However, if you take in the information and try to assimilate it but are unable to let go of the ‘chunk’ of information and the emotion associated with it; that is when IBS symptoms will appear.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:arial"="" style="">In Meta-Health, the root cause of IBS is an indigestible anger: the inability to digest a ‘chunk’ of information and holding onto anger about it.

  <span "font-size:14.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:arial;mso-fareast-font-family:="" "times="" roman";color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;mso-themeshade:191;="" mso-font-kerning:18.0pt;mso-fareast-language:en-gb"="" style="">The Two Phases of IBS (Constipation and Diarrhoea)

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" line-height:150%;font-family:arial;mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" mso-font-kerning:18.0pt;mso-fareast-language:en-gb;mso-bidi-font-weight:bold"="" style="">All illnesses follow a 2-phase pattern, which is demonstrated more clearly with IBS than it is with some other health issues. What is not understood is why the same stressor can cause two people to react in different ways. For example, the loss of a partner may lead to eczema for one person and digestive problems for another.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:="" "times="" roman";mso-fareast-language:en-gb"="" style="font-weight: normal;">It seems we need to look beyond the vague ‘stress’ label and start to pinpoint the specific causes and triggers in our lives, and figure out how to resolve them. In the moment of shock, the body temporarily freezes. It is in this moment, when mentally we don’t know what to do, that the body’s emergency programming takes over. We enter the ‘fight or flight’ state, and begin the emergency process that we’ve labelled ‘disease’.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" color:#333333;mso-fareast-language:en-gb;mso-bidi-font-weight:bold"="" style="font-weight: normal;">Although they are not causal, <span "font-size:12.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" color:#333333;mso-fareast-language:en-gb"="" style="font-weight: normal;">high stress levels can make us more susceptible to getting shocked by unexpected events. For example, if we’re already under a lot of pressure at work, or at home and we feel low in energy, a small unexpected shock may be enough to begin a minor disease programme.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" color:#333333;mso-fareast-language:en-gb"="" style="font-weight: normal;">This is also why ‘risk factors’ correlate to increased illness. Smoking, high alcohol intake, obesity and poor diet lower our general vitality and increase the levels of stress in the system, making us weaker and less able to cope when we get a shock. If we’re feeling energetic, positive and strong, and get shocked, we’re more likely to be less affected.

<span "font-size:12.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;="" color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;mso-themeshade:191"="">How stress and ill health link
  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:="" "times="" roman";mso-fareast-language:en-gb"="" style="font-weight: normal;">In Meta-Health, symptoms are biologically meaningful reactions. In the stress phase, we usually don’t feel ill but are often stressed, tense, have difficulty sleeping, have cold extremities and reduced appetite. Depending on the specific organ that reacts and which part of the brain directs it, the organ either increases in cells or function, or it decreases. Which organ is affected will depend on the shock and the emotions and feelings it brings up for you.

  <span "mso-bidi-font-size:="" 11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;color:#333333"="" style="font-weight: normal;">These symptoms are not a mistake – they body’s heightened stress state gives us the energy to deal with the threat. The problem in today’s society is that we’re in Phase 1 most of the time, which lowers our vitality and makes us susceptible to subsequent shocks.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" mso-fareast-language:en-gb"="" style="font-weight: normal;">When we resolve the shock, either through a change of circumstance or internally letting go of the emotion, we go into the second phase, (otherwise known as regeneration or the healing phase). During regeneration the affected organ begins to re-balance, either reducing or rebuilding to counteract the effects of the stress phase.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:13.0pt;line-height:150%;="" font-family:"arial",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" mso-font-kerning:0pt;mso-fareast-language:en-gb"="" style="">In the case of our musculoskeletal system, the affected organ (a specific bone, muscle, tendon etc.) always follows a 2-stage process.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:13.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" mso-font-kerning:0pt;mso-fareast-language:en-gb"="" style="">1st Phase (Stress Phase):<span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:13.0pt;="" line-height:150%;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" mso-font-kerning:0pt;mso-fareast-language:en-gb"="" style=""> The affected organ has cell reduction and function loss. According the ‘The Merck Manual’ (the definitive medical dictionary) over 95% of diseases have an unknown cause.

In our society, disease or illness is seen as being a fault in the body, that something has gone wrong, or our body is working against us but after two million years of evolution our bodies can’t be making mistakes, can they?

  Often diseases or illnesses are attributed to common ‘risk factors’ such as smoking, poor diet, bad lifestyle, genetics and a vague use of the word ‘stress’. More often than not these risk factors are not present, in the case of breast cancer- the risk factors are absent for more than 70% of patients.

  You may also have wondered why some people can heal after just one form of intervention while others take months or years and why even when people have the same ‘disease’ they experience it in completely different ways. If we understood why, how much easier would it be to resolve our issues and how empowered would we feel taking control of our own health.

  Disease as a two phase process

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">Every disease process has two phases, after a significant emotional event, we experience the first phase (stress phase). In the stress phase we usually don’t feel ill but are often stressed, tense, have difficulty sleeping, have cold extremities and reduced appetite. Depending on the specific organ that reacts and which part of the brain directs it, the organ either increases in cells or function, or it decreases. Which organ is affected will depend on the shock and the emotions and feelings it brings up for you.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">When we resolve the shock, either through a change of circumstance or internally letting go of the emotion, we go into the second phase, (otherwise known as regeneration or the healing phase). During regeneration the affected organ begins to re-balance, either reducing or rebuilding to counteract the effects of the stress phase. It is in this phase we usually experience the disease symptoms along with increased appetite, sleepiness and increased temperature.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">In the middle of the second phase is the healing crisis, this is the point that corresponds with when things such as heart attacks, asthma attacks and epileptic fits happen.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">At the time of the shock all of the information is recorded and stored in the unconscious mind, therefore until you fully resolve the underlying emotional issue, whenever you experience similar stimuli, you can trigger off the disease process again which is how people end up with chronic illness.

    <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:="" "arial","sans-serif";color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">Meta-Health may have the answers

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">If disease is a biological programme that is triggered by a significant emotional shock, then it can’t be a mistake or random. Every disease can be understood as a biologically meaningful process with the goal of survival.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">Meta-Health is based on the latest brain relay research, ontogenesis and embryology, epigenetics, systems and neuro-biology. It seems to answer a lot of the questions that have eluded scientists for years; the root cause of any illness, where someone is within the disease process and why some issues become chronic. The meta-health diagnostic process can also explain why other issues such as depression, anxiety and anorexia occur from a biological, psychological and behavioural perspective.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">Using the Meta-Health diagnostic system means there is no guess work, complex hypotheses or vague generalisations, just fact and understanding of the person’s experience.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:="" 150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif";color:#31849b;mso-themecolor:accent5;="" mso-themeshade:191"="" style="">A bio-psycho-social and environmental model

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">Meta health is not a cure for specific diseases or a new therapy, but a diagnostic tool, it is the only approach that can give clients an understanding of the root causes of their illness and explains the relationship between how they think, feel and behave with a disease process.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">As such the meta-health diagnosis comes before any therapies and enables the formulation of a unique bio-psycho-social meta-therapy-plan. Meta-health provides a framework that can bring together traditional, complementary and alternative therapies. Meta-health has already been used successfully by medical Doctors, Homeopaths, NLP Masters, Reiki Practitioners, EFT Practitioners, Life Coaches, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, as well as other health professionals.

  <span "font-size:12.0pt;="" mso-bidi-font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"arial","sans-serif""="" style="">Finding the meaning of any disease empowers us to take control and have an informed choice in how we heal and grow.
